Can I use Happy Maids occasionally?

Absolutely! Most of our maids work regular schedules, but we are always happy to take on irregular assignments. We are confident that you will be so pleased with our cleaning services that you will have us back again and again. If you already have a regular housekeeper, consider trying us once as a fill-in. You are likely to find that we are incredibly thorough and you might be tempted to book our service on a quarterly basis for a top to bottom “deep cleaning” to complement the service of your existing housekeeper. That is perfectly fine with us.

Do I have to be home during house cleanings?

We don’t mind one way or another; it is totally up to you. We encourage customers to meet the team during the initial visit, allowing them to gain confidence about the quality of our house cleaners. Because we clean Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., most of our customers aren’t home, but trust Happy Maids with the key or garage code to their home. For security, all house keys are kept locked in our office and individually coded and cross-referenced/randomly numbered.

Do I provide cleaning supplies or equipment?

Every Happy Maids cleaning crew comes prepared with all the cleaning supplies necessary. However, if requested, we are happy to clean with the preferred products that you supply (just let the office know). Happy Maids uses safe and all natural Better Life green cleaners. We do, however, understand that certain stubborn stains require a little extra attention. This is why our teams are equipped with clorox bleach for when the situation permits.

Does Happy Maids carry liability insurance and bonding?

Happy Maids is fully insured and bonded for your protection and ours. Insurance confirmation is available upon request. We carry the following coverage amounts:

  • liability – $1 million coverage per incident.
  • fidelity bonding – $25,000 per occurrence.

How do I pay Happy Maids? Am I supposed to tip?

We require a credit card on file to book appointments, however you will never be charged before a cleaning is complete. Payment is due the day of your scheduled cleaning service. We accept payment by check, cash, or credit card. Most customers start out by leaving a check on the counter. Some find it more convenient to pay by credit card. Tips are never expected but always appreciated. Tips can be given in cash or check, or can be added to your credit card payment.

How does Happy Maids charge for its services?

We work closely with each of our clients to develop a cleaning and service plan that is tailored to meet their needs and budget. We prorate our services, so you'll only pay for the time we use. Time and cost estimates are developed by one of our managers or owner after a free phone consultation or after conducting a free in-home consultation. You can also hire Happy Maids by the hour with a minimum of 4 maid hours.

How many people will clean my home?

We generally use two cleaning specialists for each home that we clean. If you wish for us to be in and out of your home faster, then we can always work to accommodate your request. Even for larger homes, many of our customers prefer two cleaning specialists; having fewer maids in the house allows them more time to complete lengthy tasks, such as laundry. Our two-person teams are generally comprised of a team leader and a cleaning specialist. They are carefully selected based on experience, dependability, trustworthiness, and their willingness to go above and beyond in support of our clients and their co-workers.

Monday clients must reschedule by close of business on the preceding Wednesday. If the team is locked out and unable to enter the home during the scheduled time of service, it will be treated as a cancellation.

Will Happy Maids always send the same people?

For weekly and biweekly services, Happy Maids always sends the same teams to your home.
